    What would a Claims Adjuster do? Handles moderate complexity physical damage and bodily injury claims within settlement authority.  Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve non-standard auto insurance claims as assigned to provide quality outcomes.

     

    This position will be located in our Henderson Nevada OR Phoenix Arizona office.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities for the Claims Adjuster include but are not limited to:

     

    • Investigates and reviews policy forms, facts and documents related to claims to make appropriate decisions on quality claims resolution
    • Provides direction to outside resources
    • Conduct investigations in multi-party situations.
    • Combine pieces of information to form conclusions necessary to determine coverage, evaluate liability and evaluate damage exposures to ensure that claims are paid in a fair and equitable manner.
    • Negotiating claim settlements.
    • Collecting evidence needed to support contested claims in court.
    • Interviewing agents and claimants in order to correct errors and investigating questionable claims.

    Qualifications

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Understanding of industry practices, standards and claims concepts
    • Prior auto claims experience
    • Prior Bodily Injury experience
    • Strong conflict and resolution skills
    • Strong organization and facilitation skills
    • Able to multitask and solve problems
    • Proficient oral and written communication skills
    • Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment and software packages

     

     

    Critical Skills

    • Negotiation and relationship building skills
    • Analytical with ability to exercise sound business judgment
    • Time management
