    What do Legacy’s Claim Assistant’s do?  A Claim Assistant provides support to the claims staff and to perform various other clerical tasks on an as needed basis. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the insurance industry and create the foundation for a long career in the industry.

    • Set up and enter new claims into claims management system.
    • Process payments, including bulk payments.  Assist claims adjusters with stop pays and voids.
    • Process mail, filing, faxing and photocopying.
    • Review, prepare, create and/or send letters, reports and forms.
    • Maintain spreadsheets for record keeping and for tracking purposes of new losses and bulk vendor payments.
    • Answer incoming claims calls and provide customer service as requested.
    • Transcription of recorded statements.
    • Other activities and projects as assigned.




    • Bilingual (English and Spanish) a MUST
    • Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office products 
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate over the phone.
    • Ability to work in a team environment with people from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.
    • Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision while meeting deliverable dates.
    • Minimum of 2 years of clerical or customer service experience.
    • Experience in the auto insurance industry is a plus.
