    What would a Legacy HR Assistant do?  The HR Assistant will work with the HR Business Partner to provide general and ongoing support in the areas of recruiting, recordkeeping, payroll, benefits and participate in other HR projects as needed. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to grow your HR knowledge and experience.

    Responsibilities

    More specifically, The HR Assistant will:

    • Prepare necessary paperwork to support new hire, termination and/or status change activities. When necessary, scan/send paperwork for centralized processing.
    • Compile new hire orientation packets and assist new employees with the completion of required paperwork as a part of the orientation process.
    • Track and administer service award, employee recognition, trip coordination and other misc. programs.
    • Provide support to daily/ongoing recruiting activities including: post openings on recruiting services/sites, reviewing resumes, scheduling phone screens and interviews
    • First point of contact for general employee HR related questions/requests when the HR Business Partner is unavailable.
    • Participate in and support the efforts of the events and wellness committees which may include event coordination, communication, set-up, clean-up, etc.
    • Prepare/produce HR management and ad-hoc reports, organization charts, etc as requested
    • Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    A successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years office administration experience and/or human resources experience in a general support capacity.   Preferred candidates will have excellent verbal/written communication skills, be computer savvy and bring a positive, can-do attitude to the office every day.
