Responsibilities

What do Legacy’s Total Loss Associate’s do?  A Total Loss Associate is responsible to setup new loss claims, provide support to the claims staff and to perform various total loss tasks on an as needed basis. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the insurance industry and create the foundation for a long career in the industry.

 

 

More specifically, Total Loss Associate will:

  • Set up and enter new losses into claims management system.
  • Process title work and send to salvage vendor.
  • Process vehicle valuations and DMV paperwork.
  • Print, prepare, create paperwork for total loss.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for record keeping and for tracking purposes of new total loss claims.
  • Back up other total loss associates.
  • Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Successful Total Loss Associates have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Experience in the insurance industry is not required, but it is a plus.  Total Loss Associates have excellent communication skills (verbal and in writing), are computer savvy and bring a positive, can-do attitude to the office every day.  If you have a minimum of 2 years clerical/customer service experience and like working in an office where you can organize your space, manage your time and use good judgement, there’s a place for you here.
